Please read this privacy notice carefully if you are registering as a member to the Sweden-India Business Council ek. för., which is the data controller for the processing of personal data (“SIBC”, “us” “we” or our”; PO Box 27, 131 06 Nacka, Sweden, company registration number 769609-9295).
What personal data we collect about you
We need to process the following personal data when you register as a member:
- Company name (including address, zip code, city and main phone number);
- Contact details (first- and last name, e-mail address); and
- Other voluntary personal information you choose to provide;
We also collect the following non-personal data from you:
- Information about the business (year of establishment, number of employees, yearly turnover, international establishments);
- Annual service fee for subscription; and
- Other voluntary non-personal information you choose to provide.
The personal data is needed to process member requests, register new members and administrate existing memberships. The legal basis for the processing of the personal data is that it is necessary to enter into a contract with us so that you can become a member. You will not be able to become a member of the SIBC unless you provide us with the requested data.

Your personal data will be processed for the duration of your membership, unless there is a legal obligation for us to keep the personal data for longer.

Under the laws of some jurisdictions, we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access and/or erasure is not otherwise required by local law.
