In line with Sweden-India Business Council’s efforts to bridge the Swedish and Indian start-up eco systems through the Sweden India Tech Community – SITEC, and Invest Stockholm’s ambition to attract Indian start-ups and investments to Stockholm and Sweden, a collaboration has been formed to fulfill these goals.

“India is important for Stockholm in many aspects. There are strong business and trade relations between our markets. More and more Indian companies invest in Stockholm, especially within the ICT-sector.  Also, every year, we are happy to welcome an increasing number of Indian talents to Stockholm. In fact, more than every fifth labor migrant in Sweden is an Indian IT-specialist in Stockholm. With these strong ties to India, the new direct route Stockholm Arlanda – New Delhi and the routes with Emirates via Dubai are of great importance to us. Entering the partnership with Sweden-India Business Council strengthens our offer to Indian investors, talents and companies and we look forward to welcome more Indian actors in Stockholm”, says Anna Gissler, Acting CEO, Stockholm Business Region.

“We are very proud and excited to collaborate with Invest Stockholm. The city has had enormous success in creating one of the most vibrant start-up ecosystems in the world, and our intention is to ensure that the Indian start-ups mainly takes advantage of this; weather it’s as the perfect start-up gateway to Europe, access to technology or in securing talent”, says Robin Sukhia, Secretary General and President, Sweden-India Business Council
