We are very proud to announce our new Senior Executive Advisor, Harald Sandberg, former Ambassador to Delhi (retd.). Harald has spent five years in Delhi during a very exciting period in India. His experience is vast and his knowledge is deep, benefitting our members and the increasing Sweden-India business  relationship.

Harald Sandberg served as Swedish Ambassador to India from 2012 to 2017, concurrently responsible for the relations with Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan. Harald Sandberg joined the Swedish Foreign Service in 1976, and served in the 1970’s and 80’s in the Swedish Embassy in Seoul, the Swedish Permanent Representation to the UN in Geneva and at the Swedish Embassy in Washington D.C. In the 1990s he served as Head of the Private Office of the Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade, as Deputy Head of the Cabinet Offices EU Co-ordination Secretariat and as Deputy Head of the Department for International Trade Policy. He was posted as Ambassador to Indonesia (in 1998-2003) and to South Korea (in 2003-2005). Prior to his posting in New Delhi he was Head of Department for the EU Internal Market and for Promotion of Swedish Trade (2005 – 2008) and the Foreign Service´s Head of Department for Human Resources (2008 – 2012). He is now active as an advisor to Swedish industry.
