Swedish Delegation at the India AI Impact Summit
High-level Swedish Corporate Delegation to attend the India AI Impact Summit 2026
The largest Swedish AI delegation ever assembled will participate in the India AI Impact Summit, taking place in New Delhi between 16–20 February 2026. The delegation, led by the India Sweden Business Leaders’ Roundtable (ISBLRT), brings together CEOs, Chairs and Founders from Sweden’s leading corporations, alongside selected AI scale‑ups, unicorns, universities, investors, public stakeholders, and heads of Swedish Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India. Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden, Ebba Busch, will also participate in the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi representing Sweden.
The AI Impact Summit continues a series of high‑level global AI meetings, following the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park (2023), the AI Seoul Summit (2024) and the AI Action Summit in Paris (2025), co‑chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The New Delhi summit is expected to attract senior global participation from governments, industry, academia and civil society.
Marcus Wallenberg, Chair of the ISBLRT, has emphasized that “AI is a general‑purpose technology, comparable to electricity, with the potential to transform every sector of society.” The AI Impact Summit aims to define how this transformative power can drive inclusive growth, social development and people‑centric innovation, while strengthen the voice of the Global South and ensure that the benefits of technological progress are widely shared.
India’s Rapidly Expanding AI Ecosystem
India’s technology and AI ecosystem is gaining strong momentum, driven by large‑scale digital transformation, world‑class engineering talent and ambitious national initiatives. With one of the world’s largest pools of STEM graduates and a rapidly growing AI community, India has created a highly dynamic environment for innovation and applied AI.
Flagship initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission, the National AI Portal, Startup India, and digital public infrastructure—including UPI and India Stack—have positioned India as the world’s third‑largest start‑up ecosystem, with tens of thousands of start‑ups and more than one hundred unicorns.
Strengthening Sweden–India Cooperation
The Swedish delegation’s participation underscores Sweden’s leadership in applied, industrial and human‑centric AI. Swedish AI solutions are already deployed in complex real-world environments across industry, energy, mobility, telecom and healthcare. Combined with India’s scale, talent and digital infrastructure, this creates the foundation for AI with real global and societal impact. Through the ISBLRT‑led ecosystem delegation, Sweden seeks to deepen collaboration with India across industrial AI, digitalization, sustainability and innovation, while engaging closely with Indian industry, start‑ups, academia and government.
An AI‑focused program will be organized in New Delhi on 18 February 2026 for delegation members, followed by participation in the AI Impact Summit on 19–20 February.
